Kate Morgan Reade: In 1932, "Prosperity is around the corner," and we were looking for a leader who would stop the panic bank-rushes and push employment.

Then came a voice that swept the nation: FDR -- Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

A reassuring, gentle, humorous voice that attracted all who listened.

A man, unbeknownst to his vast crowd of supporters, who had suffered polio.

We need the charismatic candidate who attracts the nation to herself or himself.

The spectacle of ICE cruelty, outright cruelty, sickens the heart.
