Aw, thank you! I’m not a photographer like you, so I do lean on these images. But it does help put a thought or theme together, and we can certainly use all the beauty and hope we can wrangle right now! 🌻🥰
Kate Morgan Reade and Liz Gauffreau: I especially LOVE the fox kit!
Diverse are humans, and each is beautiful, if she has love in her heart.
Nancy (“Unger”) and I, having been in Barcelona, now are in Madrid, where we spent wonderful time for the Spirit in el museo del Prado, where images of the Lust Garden of Hieronymos Bosch inhabit my mind with its wonders.
How modern, but medieval was Hieronymos s’Hertogenbosch!
Tomorrow, unfortunately, we fly back to Trumpland.
Paris has the Arche d’Triomphe, DC has Cage Fights at the White House House and the Arch de Trump. Who knew!
Although my second tongue is German, the growth of AfD is very disturbing.
I could learn to speak good Spanish quickly, and I would gladly flee Trumpland to Barcelona or Madrid. Would not look back.
Attended Mass at the Parroquia Sagrados Corazones (Parish of the Sacred Heart) which was very much like low Latin Mass during my childhood during the Papacy of Pius XII. (A street in Madrid is named Pio XII.)
Nancy asked me if anyone speaks Latin here, to which I answered, “Everyone!” For, like Italian, they speak Latin that has had 2000 years of evolution.
I really enjoy the people here!
Spain has serious prospects as a refuge of Freedom from Trumpland!
Oh it sounds wonderful! I am sure you are both home safely by now. Bosch is one of my favorite twisties!
@Susan Niemann recently visited Spain as well, and also had a fantastic time. Be sure to see her posts and images of Spain, and her Substack in general. Every Friday she posts amazing images she has taken of every conceivable subject. If you are not subscribed, I highly recommend!
Susan Niemann and Kate Morgan Reade: Indeed, Susan Niemann is a wonderful mutual friend and a very gifted photographer. I have kept many of Susan Niemann's articles and photographs for repeated reading and viewing.
Stay strong and take care of yourselves, each of you!
Such beautiful and hopeful images. We need these! ❤️
